In 1982, Samaj Jagruti Sikshan Sanstha Murud, Ta. & Dist. Latur. (M.S.) has been established in order to serve the society by B.S.(Dada) Patade as the chairman of the institute. The institute has started Sambhaji College, Murud,Ta. & Dist. Latur in 1990, it has been affiliated permanently to Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded. The said college has been enlisted under 2(F) & 12(B).

Sambhaji College Murud has been existed in the rural area where no higher education facility had been available. Since the college has been imparting higher education for knowledge, character & patriotism at the UG & PG levels as well as while imparting the UG & PG levels educatios the college has been counseling the stakeholders to stream with the education through Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Nasik Study Centre (UG & PG) preferably girls.

Since the college inception, it has been providing higher education facilities to the rural masses especially girl students. During the course of curricular, co-curricular & extension activities the college has been trying to imbibe and inculcate the spiritual, moral, social & economic values among the students. The college has been contributing towards social commitment by addressing the social needs as water supply during the sunny days as well as aiding the victims, financially and psycho socially.

The institution doesn’t hesitate in helping the students who hesitate to pay the fees due to their economic weakness or condition. In all respects the college has tried to enrich the students through various curricular & extension activities on and off the campus. The college tries to play as the role of positive catalyst to quality education & creativity through the students’ supportive activities & services as NSS, Sports, Cultural etc on & off the campus.
